Curiosity

Curiosity is one of the most powerful abilities you have available as a physical and non-physical being.

Embrace curiosity!

Curiosity is the mindset that gives you the energy to overcome any sort of fear and procrastination.

Curiosity is one of the intrinsic human motivations. You don’t need a reason to be curious.

And, as a bonus, if you can tell other people what you are curious about, then you’ll be working on another genius mindset called storytelling. Because when you tell your story, you invite collaboration with the world.

Practice curiosity

  1. Decide to let curiosity be the foundation of the day!

Harnessing the power of awareness regarding your current level of curiosity is immensely beneficial. Once you are conscious of it, you can actively choose to elevate your curiosity. Make intentional decisions to prioritize and expand your curiosity, allowing it to serve as the foundational mindset for the day ahead.

  2. Prototype your way forward!

Prototyping stands as a potent tool enabling us to pose questions, challenge assumptions, and experiment through remarkably small trials. Engaging in these compact experiments often reveals astonishing insights! There are essentially two types of life design prototypes. Firstly, prototype conversations - initiate discussions with individuals about topics of interest, and watch the wealth of knowledge unfold. Secondly, prototype experiences - immerse yourself in the felt experience of trying something new, be it a ride-along, a shadow day, or stepping into someone else's shoes.

For effective life-design, keep your resolutions modest and attainable, and most importantly, prototype everything! This approach ensures a dynamic and iterative process, fostering continuous learning and growth.

  3. Change the problem!

Frequently, we find ourselves grappling with seemingly unsolvable problems. However, by taking a step back and engaging in re-framing—altering the frame of reference around the problem—we can unlock a multitude of new solutions. Re-framing is a powerful tool in life-design thinking, involving a fresh perspective on the problem. By loosening some of the constraints initially imposed, we create space for unexpected solutions to emerge.
